Skootly ("we", "us") is a Chrome extension and web service operated by Kim C. Dang LLC. Skootly helps owners and admins of Skool communities approve membership requests and save the answers people gave to the community's membership questions into the admin's own Google Sheet.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address (and your name if you sign in with Google), used to sign you in and manage your subscription.
- Membership-request data you choose to save: when you approve a member with Skootly, we process the member's name, Skool profile link, and the questions and answers shown on your Skool membership-request page, including an email address only if the member typed one into an answer.
- Community details: your Skool community's name and ID, so rows are labelled correctly.
- Usage counts: how many members were saved, and technical error codes, so we can support you. These never include answer contents.
How we use Google user data
If you connect Google Sheets, Skootly asks Google for permission to create and edit only the spreadsheets Skootly creates for you (the drive.file permission). We use it only to create your Skootly sheet and add one row per approved member. We cannot see or change your other Google Drive files. Skootly's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How long we keep data
- Member answers and emails are deleted from our servers as soon as they are written to your sheet. They are only kept briefly if a write fails, so it can be retried.
- We keep the member's name and profile link so the same request is never added to your sheet twice.
- Your Google connection is stored encrypted and is removed when you disconnect Google or delete your account.
Who we share data with
We do not sell data. We use these service providers to run Skootly: Cloudflare (hosting and database), Google (sign-in and Google Sheets), SendGrid (sign-in code emails) and Stripe (payments). Each only receives what it needs to provide its service.
Your choices
- Disconnect Google at any time from your account page or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Ask us to delete your account and data by emailing techsupport@kimcdang.com.
- Data already in your Google Sheet belongs to you and stays there.
